Aotearoa Art Fair

Thursday, 1 – Sunday, 4 May 2025

Aotearoa Art Fair activates the diverse landscape of Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland, expecting over 10,000 visitors to the waterfront Viaduct Events Centre in 2025 who will spill over into art spaces throughout the city. Galleries at the fair include those from across Aotearoa as well as from Rarotonga and Gadigal Country Sydney. The fair opens from Thursday, 1 – Sunday, 4 May 2025 with an impressive programme both on and off-site.

May Art Fair, a new gallery-led fair off Karangahape Road, adds a dynamic alternative to Aotearoa Art Fair this year, collaborating with local and international galleries. In between, the city is sprinkled with a diverse landscape of private art spaces, notable public artworks, and collections including the city’s major contemporary institution.

Art Guides World is honoured to launch alongside Aotearoa and May Art Fairs 2025. For the occasion we are interviewing participants, including artists, curators, and gallery directors who have contributed to the fairs, as well as key figures throughout the motu, representing major art destinations Pōneke Wellington, Whangarei, and Ōtautahi Christchurch.

Our first tour will offer insights and introductions to both fairs, as well as an itinerary with highlights including visits to Toi o Tāmaki Auckland Art Gallery, Artspace Aotearoa, and Objectspace.

Aotearoa Art Fair 2025, offers a vast programme including guided tours, artist talks, curator tours, exhibition openings, and more. Please get in touch if you’d like a guide.
