Art Basel is the most revered of all international art fairs. At Art Basel and throughout the city you’ll see museum-worthy artworks on the market, monumental installations, and awe-inspiring architecture. Those with First Choice VIP passes can enter from Monday, 16 June with access to the Unlimited section of the fair, however officially the fair runs from Thursday, 19 – Sunday, 22 June 2025.
Art Guides World offer two guides during Art Basel, each with a three day itinerary: A VIP tour from Monday, 16 June – Wednesday, 18 June, and a long weekend option from Friday, 20 June – Sunday, 22 June.
The well-heeled of the artworld gather during Basel’s most delightful season, swimmers brave the glittering waters of the Rhine while the city comes to life around it. Basel is renowned for discerning collections of art, housed in spectacular architecture, connected via an efficient tram system which crosses quaint bridges.
Art Guides World is offering guided tours in small groups of no more than six people to the city of Basel during the prestigious art fair. Our itinerary will include visits to the main fair, as well as satellite fairs in the vicinity, the Swiss Art Prize, major museums, and public sculpture throughout the city. The VIP days tour will differ in programme from the long weekend option, meaning one can book both to truly discover how Art brings Basel to life.
The guide will give you a chance to meet and converse with gallery directors, curators, and artists, gaining exciting insights into exhibitions, artworks, and architecture.
Highlights across the tours will include Unlimited, a section of the main fair which presents monumental museum-standard artworks, a visit to Steve McQueen’s major exhibition at the Schaulager, an impressive collection housed in impressive Herzog & de Meuron architecture, and a chance to explore the exhibitions and exquisite grounds of Foundation Beyeler.
The Basel tour follows a three day itinerary in Zürich. It is possible to book all guided tours for an immersive experience across the cities.
